Yamaha Intermediate YMT-2400C 4.3 Octave Acoustalon Marimba w/Tough-Terrain Frame

The Yamaha YMT2400C 4.3 Octave Acoustalon Marimba features Yamaha's Tough-Terrain frame system, which is designed for those situations where the frame on a normal concert instrument shouldn't be taken...Outside!  The frame features welded steel construction and 10-inch pneumatic tires to protect the instrument from the rigors of transport. Two lower crossbars to protect resonators from damage with a removable accessory bar that accommodates virtually all parallel multi-clamps. This instrument is also; height adjustable.
Tough-Terrain Frame is efficient for transporting both instruments and accessories, fits through standard doorways, is height adjustable, and features an oversized swivel pedal to ensure playing comfort. 1" pipes accommodate all parallel multi-clamps on the market and can be mounted up or down for various set-up requirements.
Acoustalon is a synthetic material developed by Yamaha that is produced from fiberglass-reinforced plastic in a one-step manufacturing process to provide exceptional durability and a pure tone similar to rosewood. Acoustalon is a great option for schools with indoor and outdoor marching activities, stage-show pits, percussion solos, and percussion ensembles.
