Yamaha Intermediate TP-6332R 32" Smooth Copper Timpani
Description
The Yamaha TP6332R is a 32” intermediate series timpano with a smooth polished copper bowl. Yamaha timpani also feature a third caster below the pedal for easy mobility and height adjustable casters that can go over 25mm, allowing for precise instrument height as well as head angle.
The next generation of Yamaha timpani includes a completely redesigned frame that enables maximum sustain from the suspended bowl or kettle and ensures reliable long term operation. Special attention was given to the bowl design to improve consistency and give each new series a deep rich tone. A new wheel design and improved pedal mechanics allow vast position options and smooth reliable pedal operation. The tuning gauge is now movable, allowing its position to accommodate both German and American setup options.
The 6300 Intermediate Series timpani are ideal for high school and college bands, orchestras, percussion ensembles, and marching bands. With its sleek finish and pure resonance, the 6300 Series offers professional-grade sound quality for all levels of repertoire. The 6300 Series uses smooth copper bowls spun to precision to ensure uniform wall thickness for pure resonance and a beautiful tone. To further enhance dynamic range and tonal projection, the bowls are freely suspended in a steel support ring. This design allows pure, undistorted sound even at dynamic extremes. Remo Renaissance heads with an aluminum insert ring are included with all 6300 Intermediate series timpani.
In addition to its exceptional sound quality and value, the 6300 Series boasts many features that allow the performer to play in their most natural and comfortable position. The recessed tension rods stay out of the performer's way, especially during sweeping motions. The cable-linked tuning gauge with letter and accidental indicators increase the performer's tuning accuracy and provides convenient tuning changes during performance.
Pedal Balance Spring System
Pedal spring and head tension are balanced so the set pitch is maintained even if the player removes his or her foot from the pedal. Pitch changes across the entire range are smooth and easy.
Refined Kettle Design
In depth research into the effects of kettle edge angle and the dimensions of the openings in the bottom of the kettle have resulted in designs that bring out the most desirable characteristics of the copper materials used.
New Frame Design
The timpani frame does more than just support the kettle. It plays a significant role in sound quality as well. Strength and playability enhancements have been combined with artist feedback to create a new, optimally balanced frame design. A suspension ring attached to the frame provides a floating mount in which the kettle does not directly contact the frame, allowing full, unrestricted resonance.
Yamaha Remo Renaissance Heads
Yamaha Remo Renaissance Heads with aluminum insert rings offer outstanding expression with stable pitch and excellent durability. This REMO Renaissance head enables a player to perform a rich musical expression with a more stable pitch and durability.
Casters
Large main casters are supplemented by a third caster below the pedal, allowing the instruments to glide smoothly and easily.
There is no need to move timpani room to room/stage with difficulty as there is no longer a need to remove a timpani wheel as located under the pedal in the now previous models.
The locking and unlocking of the large caster can be set quickly and certainly with just one touch of a button.
All casters are equipped with 25mm-width height adjustment by which the height and the angle of the head can be finely adjusted. This enables the timpani to be played at any situation since the height can be always changed to the most suitable position both for the sitting and standing player.
Caster Lock
The main casters include a one-touch lock mechanism that contributes to fast, sure setup. In addition to the main caster lock mechanism an auxiliary brake has been added to the pedal caster. The player can engage the auxiliary brake to securely lock the caster and prevent movement of the instrument.
German Setup Support
The tuning gauge can be easily attached to the left or right side of the instrument for compatibility with German system arrangements.
Key/Wrench Holder
A tuning key/wrench holder that attaches to the side opposite the tuning gauge is included.
Large Pedal
Large pedals have been adopted for easier operation. The pedal color is silver, making it easier to locate on a dark stage.
Additional Features
Recessed rod ears in rim keeps the tension rod heads well out of the way of sweeping motions during play and cradles the timpani key for solid adjustments.
Enclosed housing on tuning gauge increases durability, and maintains smooth movement of the pointer.
Black rim and tuning gauge reduces glare from lights and the sun while complementing black hardware.
Teflon tape on bearing edge provides whisper quiet tuning.
