Inspired by a proud tradition of great American timpanists, this series features the finest quality hand-selected bamboo and hand-turned hickory shafts. Our hickory shafts are slightly longer and fuller, for more tone and better balance. Models with bamboo shafts are constructed with bamboo that is 15 inches long and 12mm in diameter. Models made with hickory shafts are 13.75 inches long. Light and clean – for a distinctly American sound. The A7 American Series Mallet features: Bamboo shafts, ball stick with a large wood core covered with German felt. Full sound and great for the low register.
