DEMO MODEL:   This instrument has been opened and typically used by an artist or group at a clinic or performance event (i.e., a State Educator show, or Industry Trade show booth.)   The instruments, with very few exceptions, are in original packaging.   All DEMO model instruments still carry any manufacturer warranties - but at a lower cost to compensate for the limited usage.     All specifications and details are identical to the brand new versions.  

The Black Swamp Mercury Multisonic MS414MD-CB 14x4" Ply Maple Snare Drum features  a 7-Ply Maple Shell in a  Concert Black Stain. Maple shells offer an excellent balance of characteristics that have made it a workhorse in concert and orchestral music  for over a century. Our bearing edges are shaped to bring out the natural body, warmth, and clarity that maple has to offer.
The Mercury Series drums are designed for the ultimate in clarity and articulation. While these drums are excellent for the audition circuit, they are also versatile enough to find regular use on the snare stand.  
The BSP Multisonic strainer is  still  the most advanced, versatile, and silent  snare system of its kind in the world.  Five separate snare units can be tensioned and activated in any combination to suit your musical situation, drum tuning, and performance space.  Here are just three example snare configurations demonstrating the Multisonic's potential to fit in perfectly to your music. 5 different types of wire and cable mix together for unique timbres and the ultimate in versatility. We suggest combinations of 3, but experiment to find your own voice.

Gold Cable - The thickest cable type with a, throaty character, similar to traditional gut snares.    
Blue Cable - Responds best at medium to loud dynamic levels, providing both articulation and volume.                                
Stainless Cable - Responds best at soft to medium dynamic levels. The bright, wet character balances the drum's voice.
Wire Wound Cable - The crisp, bright character provides the greatest sensitivity and response at softer dynamics.                                                      
Curly Wire Cable - Curly wire provides sensitivity with a snappy timbre, different than the wire wound unit.
