Jeanna McGlaughlin Scholarship

West Music has always been dedicated to serving and supporting music education over our history. It is within our history that we have the remarkable gift of having team members who care deeply about making that happen every day.
One of those incredible team members was Jeanna McGlaughlin, who served as our Workshop Coordinator and part of our family for over 37 years.
Jeanna served educators and students around the world, helping facilitate and support summer workshops and teacher trainings to learn more about Orff, Kodály, World Music Drumming and more. Her life was dedicated to helping support and create future educators and great classroom experiences.
Sadly, Jeanna passed away in 2024 and in her honor and through the generosity of friends and family we have created an Orff training scholarship to provide financial support to educators interested in having summer training part of their life.
Scholarship Details
The scholarship is now closed for 2025.
The Jeanna McGlaughlin Scholarship will make available up to three $500 scholarships for educators to participate in a summer Orff training workshop.
Applications will be reviewed by a review committee and grantees will be notified by May 1st.
Recipients of the scholarship will be asked to write a brief summary of their experience at the Orff training they attend, share a photo of themselves at the training, and provide receipts of expenses incurred for the training. The scholarship funds will be disbursed after training has been completed and requested materials including write up, photo, and receipts have been provided.
