Yamaha's 8400 Series Field-Corps Marching Tenors now come assembled and installed with the Yamaha Hexrack Tom Rail, which is only compatible with the MTC-9600 series tenor carrier.
The Hexrack Tom Rail is lightweight and durable, allowing various tenor drum configurations. The new rail also features a quick lock mounting system to secure the drums to either the carrier or stand when performing.
The 8400 Series toms feature Yamaha’s legendary Maple Shells, which utilize a high-pressure shell-forming technology to ensure an extremely durable shell. These deep shells produce a wide dynamic range and sharp attack and are designed to provide power and projection.
An aluminum insert ring and high-tension aluminum die-cast lugs allow for even and high tension of the heads. Unique inward profile 2.3mm Steel Hoops allow for protection during mallet sweeps, and help keep pitch stable.
