Sing Me a Story - Classic Stories Throughout Time Come to Life in Song and Rhyme Rise and Shine Series

Sing Me a Story is a 20-minute "Rise & Shine" musical specifically designed to be performed on choral risers. This is especially good for schools limited to risers and small performance areas. There is limited use of staging and props with this musical. The presentation is highly entertaining while providing valuable learning opportunities while putting the students on the fast track to success!

Sing Me a Story invites students and your audience into the marvelous and enchanting world of reading and storytelling. Through the use of melodic and memorable songs, your students will enjoy a cross-curricular experience contributing to their musical skills while motivating them to become avid readers. This mini-musical will captivate, taking all on a magical journey to far-off lands to meet characters Thumbelina, Pinocchio, The Mad Hatter, Tinkerbell, The Ugly Duckling, and the Little Mermaid.

This reproducible 2-part mini-musical has an easy-to-memorize rhyming script, director's score, singer's parts, choreography, prop and performance suggestions, American Sign Language instructions, as well as an Enhanced Studio Trax CD. The CD includes accompaniment and performance tracks, poster, program, clip art, and composers' info. Songs included: Sing Me a Story, Hans Christian Andersen, Don't Be a Pinocchio, The Mad Hatter, The Secret Garden, and Shine Your Light.
