Risseldy, Rosseldy
Description
Adapted to picture book form by John Feierabend, and warmly illustrated by Ashley Poulin "Risseldy, Rosseldy," also known as "Nickety Nackety" or "I Married My Wife in the Month of June," is a classic American nonsense song with a challenging tongue-twister of a chorus. While there have been several variations of the song through the years, the playful use of nonsense words and nonsensical actions has always remained.
Filled with humorous scenarios and delightfully illustrations, this songtale will engage today's children as it has those of decades past. Readers will enjoy entering the world of newlyweds, both human and chipmunk, through the song.
The song may be downloaded in audio form at no charge at a site provided in the book. The melody is notated and a history of the song is also provided at the end of the book.
