The Meinl Bendir features four thin strings stretched across the inside of the goatskin head, which create the classic Bendir "buzzing"; sound. The Bendir is fully tunable and light in weight for long and comfortable playing.; Size 16" diameter x 2 1/2" deep.; Shell is made from Rubber Wood with a matte African Brown finish.The Meinl Traditional Bendirs are made true to the classical North African form. Four adjustable nylon strings spanning the inside of the goatskin head create the characteristic buzzing sound. This fine frame drum is fully tunable, with rich bass tones and crisp taks.
