Meinl's Artisan Edition Cajons are handmade in Spain with unyielding craftsmanship for the most discerning of players. Meticulous care has gone into selecting the most exquisite wood combinations, shaping the playing surface and body, and coiling the internal strings that create a crisp snare effect. Every last detail of these instruments has been designed and crafted to achieve a quality of sound and feel unlike any other cajon.

The Martinete Line features a solid Tulip Poplar resonating body and a Brazilian Ironwood with Ukola Woodframe frontplate. Two sets of 10 internal strings are individually adjustable by tensioning with the tuning screws. All corners are rounded for comfort, and thumb notches are carved into the top for ease of playing and superior sound quality. The frontplate features a beautifully decorated wood inlay. A pop filter is added to the extra thick rear sound port for clarity of sound and added compression. The bottom of the cajon is supported by six isolating rubber feet for stability.
