The HAPI Drum Slim Tuneable gives you over 24 different scales possibilities in one drum! This makes it the ideal choice for musicians who want to change scales for different compositions without having to switch to a separate drum. The included instruction manual provides you with the information needed to transform your tongue drum into many different keys. The highest note possible is c in the 5th octave, the lowest note possible is F in the 3rd octave.

Each of the 8 notes (or tongues) can be tuned by sliding a metal weight along the underside of the tongue (accessed through the sound port in the base), thereby adjusting the pitch of the tongue. The higher up on the tongue you push the magnet, the lower the pitch! With the magnets pushed to the bottom of the tongue, the drum is pitched in G Minor Pentatonic, its highest possible tuning.

Using the weighted magnets, this Tunable Slim can be tuned to 4 different pentatonic scales: G, F#, and F. You can also try out Minor, Akebono, Pygmy, Egyptian, Blues, Major, and Melog scales!

The included instruction booklet comes with a link to a free online tuner you can access through your computer. You can also use your favorite tuner app on your phone or tablet. Just make sure it is a chromatic tuner and not a guitar tuner!
