Latin Percussion's Matador wood bongos, with 7-1/4" and 8-5/8" diameter tunable skin heads; dark brown finish shells. These bongos feature kiln dried, environmentally friendly Siam oak shells. Each drum has a fitted cast aluminum bottom and traditional rims. The tunable natural rawhide heads are in the traditional sizes; tuning wrench is included. Matador bongos

Although these bongos have a good sound, and tune easily, they are a no-go for a busy classroom. Even though the bongos are not used everyday, one drum cracked within a year, and the bracing between the drums loosened within months.
