The Jim Casella mallets are designed to the specifications of leading marching percussion. each mallet has been designed to meet the demands of both the indoor and outdoor marching percussion ensemble. This extensive line of specially designed indoor/outdoor mallets, offers the marching percussion ensemble an extensive variety of timbres.
Each mallet in this series features the following:
IP1001, IP1002, IP1003
Variety of rubber cores and latex combinations to create a full, rich tone and warm fundamental
Increased weight for added projection
Highly polished birch handles
Specially designed, extra-durable synthetic yarn with a concert hall timbre
IP1004, IP1005, IP1006

Jim Casella
Percussion composer/arranger
Jim Casella is the percussion coordinator and arranger for The Cavaliers drum and bugle corps from Rosemont, IL. He received his education from San Jose State University and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where he studied with Anthony J. Cirone and Jack Van Geem. As an internationally recognized percussion composer and arranger, Casella is perhaps best known for his work with the Santa Clara Vanguard where he served as arranger from 1996 through 2004. Prior to that he was on the percussion staff of the Concord Blue Devils (1995), and SCV Cadets (1992-94). He has presented clinics across North America, as well as in Europe and Asia. Casella resides in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Willow, and works as a composer/arranger for TV and broadcast projects, as well as competitive percussion ensembles nationwide. Prior to moving to Portland, Jim was an active player in the San Francisco bay area where he performed professionally with several symphony orchestras. He currently plays drums for an eclectic jazz/rock band in Portland. Jim Casella is a signature artist with Innovative Percussion Inc. and an official endorser/clinician for Pearl Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Remo Drumheads, and Sibelius Software. He is the co-founder of Tapspace Publications and the producer and programmer of the innovative sample library, Virtual Drumline 2.
