DEMO MODEL: This instrument has been opened and typically used by an artist or group at a clinic or performance event (i.e. a State Educator show, or Industry Trade show booth. ) The instruments have not been previouslyowned, and with very few exceptions, are in original packaging. All DEMO models instruments still carry the full manufacturers warranty - but at a lower cost to compensate for the limited usage. All specifications and details are identical to the brand new versions.
The Pearl Philharmonic Concert Snare Drums feature the revolutionary Triad Silent Strainer System. These drums represent Pearl's state of the art design and innovative craftsmanship that allows the player unprecedented control over the tone, dynamics and performance of the instrument. A proprietary combination of three unique snare sets, using both graduated and even tensioning, offers seamless timbral overlapping and ultra-smooth dynamic transition, plus a greatly extended dynamic and sensitivity range. The Triad Silent Strainer provides three individual tension adjusters allowing you to fine tune the optimum tension for each type of snare material, and a single global adjuster is used for overall tension. All snares can be quickly changed by simply loosening the adjuster and one drum key rod.
The Philharmonic Cast Aluminum Shell Snare Drum (PHA) features a 3mm cast shell and offers a warmth and richness similar to wood, but with the increased brightness and attack characteristic of metal shell snare drums.
