Big and Bright
These sticks are large diameter sticks and you'll definitely feel it in the hand. However the balance on most pairs is pretty even, so the stick rebounds pretty easily.
The sound is not that big. This stick is the complete opposite of the Mike Jackson sticks for those of you who have played that one. Emphasis in the sound is on articulation and brightness with almost no boom or depth. Not a bad sound, but different in philosophy. You'll definitely hear the snare drums with this stick.
The legendary Vic Firth consistency has lagged a little bit over the last few years. Of the two pairs I've bought, one felt like a pair of concert sticks and the others felt more like Hardimons.
