Our Perspective

Vic Firth 5A wood tip drumsticks are the ‘Model T’ of drumsticks. They are the number one stick in the world and almost every drummer should have at least 1 pair of these in their bag. Their medium weight is perfect for beginners to find out what they like in a drumstick. 5A drumsticks are the perfect stick for many different types of playing from jazz, concert, rock, and everything in-between. If you are looking for a stick that can and does it all, the 5A is the way to go. Check your stick bag, if you don’t have a pair in there right now, pick some up right now! -Adam

Vic Firth American Classic 5A Drumsticks.  Vic Firth's Top Selling stick.

The American Classic line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs for fuller sound, the Classics are turned from select hickory a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding a great deal of shock, making it highly durable. The wood tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response. The nylon tips are similar in size and shape to their wood counterparts, providing enhanced performance and a feel closer to their original wood tip models. Nylon tips are the most durable and brightest sounding on cymbals.Tear drop tip for rich cymbal sounds. Light and fast for jazz, orchestral and pit work.
