Emily S: Wonderful egg shakers! I use them for my Music Together class, and they work great. If the top should happen to pop off (only happened to one egg), there's a small plug inside to keep the beads from falling out. I appreciate that, as other eggs I've used have occasionally cracked, spilling tiny beads everywhere, which is not good when you have little ones around. Great eggs!Mar 2, 2014

My step-son mentioned his 3 girls 3 years and under love drums so these are a Christmas gift - Baby drum for 4-month old Addie to grow into, Bongos for 2 yr-old Ariannah, Konga for 3-yr old Bella. Plus a tambourine for 7-yr old Kinzie and egg shakers for 13-year old Allie, my step-son , daughter-in-law, husband and me to all make music together. Of course, the kids will get the shakers later!Dec 12, 2012

Karla D:I haven't used the jumbo shakers, so I can't compare. But I can give a solid recommendation for these egg shakers. I've used them in an elementary music class setting, but the best test was when I spent 2 years contracting music classes in preschools. Every 30 minutes, several days a week, these were passed out, used by 3- and 4-year-olds, and then tossed (or sometimes thrown!) back into the box. I have never had one break - the seal on these is on top instead of around the center like an Easter egg - they fit in small hands easily, and they sound good for a plastic egg. I've purchased them for my current school AND for my personal collection.Apr 28, 2013
Sheryl M:I use these shakers with student from kindergarten through 5th grade and they seem to fit perfectly into their hands. I don't think I'd need them any larger or they might slip out of their hands.Feb 22, 2013
Caroline C:These are the best shakers I have bought in 10 years. My students from age 5 to 16 love them! Teach the children to hold them loosely in the palm of the hand and you cannot go wrong! Enjoy!Feb 22, 2013
Catherine H:I don't know much about the jumbo shakers but I like these eggs because they have a nice sound and they do not break easily like many other egg shakers I have bought for my business before.Feb 24, 2013
