Selecting a stick solely on its straightness is like selecting a drum solely on its roundness. Choosing the "best" drumstick is a very personal decision. Many drummers have not yet discovered how much better they could play if they would just use the correct stick. It's not unusual for professionals to use 2 or 3 different models or more. But it's a bigger decision than just rolling a stick on a table.
