Black Swamp Sound Signature Custom Snare Drums
By Adam Balling

Percussion Source is proud to be partnering with Black Swamp percussion on an exclusive concert snare drum line. Each month, Percussion Source will be debuting a brand new completly unique custom snare drum from Black Swamp. What is so special? There will only be 1 drum ever built! This is your chance to own something completly unique and muscially amazing. Once the drum is sold, it is sold. Each month the drums will vary in features and shell type.

The first of an ongoing series of snare drums is the 6.5" x 14" Walnut Stave snare drum with Multisonic Strainer and Die-Cast Hoops.

The only orchestral snare drum Black Swamp Percussion has manufactured using a stave shell.  Stave shells are made from solid wood segments, with the grain running vertically, glued together and lathed round.  Stave drums have similar sound properties as solid bent shell drums, being exceptionally sensitive and having excellent tone and response throughout a wide dynamic range.

Only 1 of these drums will be built.  Each drum bears the signature of Eric Sooy, Owner & Master Builder at Black Swamp Percussion.
